Reliance

Blue herons symbolize luck, prosperity, self-determination, confidence, and spiritual awakening. I think self-reliance is often misinterpreted as the ability to do everything on one’s own; I think that self-reliance sometimes means knowing when/how to accept help from others in order to help oneself.

Accepting help can be difficult, but there is strength in the ability to allow those around us to share their gifts so that we might share ours’ in turn.
